Maximum Yield Tips For Your Hydroponics Urban Garden Featured

Make sure your maximum yield is more than hay! Make sure your maximum yield is more than hay!

We talk constantly about getting maximum yield from your hydroponics urban garden. What exactly do we mean? First of all, the term urban garden is a take-off from a term that preceded it: Urban Grower. But what exactly does “urban” mean? In almost all definitions, urban is related to cities. So if you have a hydroponics indoor grow room and you live in a rural area, is that an urban garden? Not by strict definition it isn’t.

It’s shocking to go into a grow room and see thousands of watts of light wasted due to poor grow room design, plants that are trimmed wrong, or poor hydroponics strategies.

What I believe was intended by the original creators of the term “urban grower” is someone who is growing with indoor hydroponics, rather than an outdoor garden. Whether it’s in a city or not.

Now let’s move forward to the term “maximum yield.” Looks like yield is an interesting word. It means to give up something (such as the right of way at a traffic intersection). It also means the final results of a production process.

When your buddies ask you how much did your plants yield, you tell them the weight. Getting maximum yield means getting the most from every hydroponics plant, and from every dollar and minute you invest in your hydroponics grow room.

Only a handful of growers are getting maximum yield. It’s shocking to go into a grow room and see thousands of watts of light wasted due to poor grow room design, plants that are trimmed wrong, or poor hydroponics strategies.

It’s hard for me to understand why people tolerate such waste. One of the fun things about having a hydroponics urban garden is the challenge of pushing yourself and your hydroponics plants to maximum yield. Here are some surefire ways to do it:

  • Only use premium, tested, maximum yield genetics
  • Add C02 to your grow room: 1000 ppm during lights-on phase
  • Chill hydroponics nutrients water to 68F, especially if your room runs hot
  • Use the Bigger Yields hydroponics nutrients system
  • Use Sea of Green for perpetual harvesting
  • Use highest ppm possible without burning plants
  • Get the Melonhead reflector and BaddAss bulbs for bigger flowers
  • Retire hydroponics motherplants every 2-3 years and grow from seed
  • Use hydroponics bloom boosters timed for each sub-phase of bloom phase
  • Do a mini-flush every three weeks to remove crap from the root zone
  • Use rainwater or reverse osmosis water
  • Try aeroponics
  • Use supplemental side lighting
  • Use reflective, infrared-defeating wall coverings
  • Add B vitamins to your hydroponics feeding
